I installed the clutch with the alignment tool and torqued everything. But after we put the transmission on there was no pressure on the fork( where the slave hits it). I can move it and the throwout bearing back and forth. I put it in gear and the wheels still turn. Its like the clutch is stuck in. Please help cuzz pullin that transmission is such a PITA. Thanks

When i took the bad clutch off the spring had broke out of the disc. A guy told me that the fork was prolly bent and I pushed the clutch to hard and broke the spring out. I was thinking of shimming the fulcrum on the fork.

We didn't have the slave back on. We just moved the fork back and forth. But what caused us to think something wrong was that when we put it in gear(various gears) we could still turn the wheels. Its like the clutch is still stuck in.

you cant engage /disengage the clutch by pressing the fork with you hand . the slave cylinder puts out many times more force than you could with you r hand

oh also im havin the same problem . my springs broke out too but my guy siad it was because the clutch was grabbing so hard , when i had the 6 puck, so now i have like a stage 2 ?? but yeah i put everything back on and it wouldnt go into gear . so i adjusted the rod underneat the dash out and i have to press the pedal through the floor almost to get it in gear . im thinkin i amy have put the disk in backwards if thats possible

No the clutch is acting like its already pushed in. Because we can turn the axles when we put it in gear. If the clutch was not being pushed in, then the wheels wouldnt turn. But they do when in gear. The clutch is stuck in for some reason.

did you align with the dowels correctly when you installed the pressure plate?

dowels? Are those the studs in the flywheel? Im not sure what dowels are. :coy:

When I put the clutch on and started tightening the pressure plate bolts the little splines moved in some. I didnt know if thats what theyre supposed to do or not?

But I did set the PP on the dowels. Am I supposed to have it turned a certain way?

We bolted it all up and it works fine. the transmission is kinda tricky so I thought it was messed up.
