Basically as the title says I installed an AFPR last night in place of my stock one. I set it to 43.5psi. Now the car runs rich at idle. Just idling I'm seeing 10s constitently and even when I pump the gas it doesn't lean out that much. This is causing my idle to be really low. Any ideas? By they way I am tuned through DSMLink if that matters

try retuning your idle using dsmlink. What size injectors are you using...

Edit: I see your using 1200cc injectors. You will never get them to idle at around 15 there too big, but they should be better than 10's. My 1000cc's i still have a smooth idle at 1000rpm and im 13.5, which is leanest i could go.

Goodluck.

Did you remember to remove the vacuum hose to the AFPR before setting the base fuel pressure? If you don't remove the vacuum hose, your base pressure will be too high. After setting the base fuel pressure (43.5PSI), you should see it drop when you reconnect the vacuum hose. The amount of pressure drop you should see is about 1 PSI drop for every 2 inches of vacuum your motor generates.

Did you also check for any vacuum leaks? most especially to the AFPR's nipple? One of my old hoses to my FPR developed a small tear and left me running richer until it was replaced.

I'm actually running 680's right now I have the 1200's just haven't put them in yet because I'm going to send my ecu for v3 and once I do that I'll install them. I didn't know that I wasn't suppose to have that vacuum hose attached when setting base fuel pressure I'll take that off and reset it. With 680s and DSMLink what can I do?

Are you talking about the top nipple? Might have to check that out myself as I'm suffering from a rich AFR at idle at the moment. It's only in the 13s but still I want it sorting out.

Yes sir. BTW, I used to live on Yokosuka and Atsugi from '93-'00 =]
