Ok today I put in a 2.5" o2 housing and an AFC...Turned the car on and seemed normal....Took the car for a drive and I step on the pedal full throttle and it felt really boggy at begininng and then started pickin up at about 3.5k. Also glanced at the EGT and it was almost 1000 Celcius!! I have never seen it hit that high goin 80 mph on 5th gear, and this went that high at about 4k and like 30 mph. Im almost positive the settings are all set to 0. I am running a GM MAFT zeroed out. I am on stock injectors and other mods in my profile. I am just tryin to get it to run normal I dont want to do any tuning whatsoever yet, Id appreciate ANY help. I will also check the connections again tomorow.

Forgot to mention that I didnt solder connections. I used wire tapes and it pickin up the RPMs and throttle and all that crap so I dont know if there are bad connections....but just thought Id mention it.

I would go back and solder ALL the connections just so you know that it isn't a bad connection...and if the problem goes away then hey it was a bad connection :thumb:

I just got done rechecking all my connections and they seemed fine. I redid the pink and orange wires jus to make sure and still seem to be having probs. I dont know if this has to do with it but I am running a 3" GM MAS blow through setup. There are settings in the AFC for the type of sensor you are running. The option for the hot wire which is the type of MAS the GM MAS is has additional features I dont know if you have to set those to a certain number. If anyone has info on how to mess with this sh!t plz help. Thanks again.

It should be set for a karmann type sensor on the afc as that is the signal the maft outputs (to mimic the stock sensor).

Ok after all this going crazy it comes down to something as freakin simple as changing the damn MAS Sensor type to Karman. Thanks for the help but I didnt seet this until I went crazy for some hours trying to figure it out, also with the help of some other members. Car runs pretty good, o2 helped with the creep, but the car jus idles low....Ill have to wait to put on my 680s and then take it to AMS to get it tuned, thanks fot thelp fellas :thumb:

I REALLY!!! wish you would of told me at the meet that you had it set on hot wire and not karmann. that is the BIGGEST problem people have after installing an AFC. I get about 4 calls a week with that problem.
