Installation of Oil temp and pressure gauges

Ok, I just bought an Autometer Oil Pressure gauge (electronic) and an Oil temp gauge (electronic). Through doing a couple of quick searches on here I was able to find the pic of the 1g oil filter housing and was wondering if it is any differences on where to tap. Also since I need to tap it twice will this be a problem or are there two different screws/bolts I can remove? Also in the instructions it says to wire one wire to the ignition switch, which means and 12v source right and when it says engine ground that just means ground that wire right? Any more pictures or descriptions would be greatly apperciated. Thank you.

if you searched already, i'm sure you came across the oil pressure gauge installation thread..

to sum up my experience.. it sucked a**. i bought the autometer procomp oil press. gauge and the copper autometer line kit... spent 70 bucks total

the "good pressure" tap is actually the stock location of your oil feed line. it's either stock still, or replaced with an SS oil line if you did a turbo upgrade. i went to ACE hardware, bout a 3/8" plumbers brass tee, got a male screw in, and got adaptors to make one leg a 1/8" plumbers

using GENEROUS amounts of teflon paste and RTV, the damned gauge still leaked everywhere.. BUT it did work..





























just as well as the stock gauge did goodluck and hopefully you didn't buy a mechanical gauge. if not, then i'm sure you can tee from the same source AND the sensor or something
