Installation help!!!!!

I got my new cold air intake today and im wondering if i remove the bottom part of the stock intake box thats bolted down, please help ASAP!!!


Edit: And what do i do with my MAF sensor? do i connect it to the new tube???

Yes, your probably only going to re-use the MAF.

If the pipe and filter don't fit then yes it should be removed..I thouhht that was just common sense..

Bud -- Thats not what im saying, im asking if its absolutely necessary to remove it or is it not affective anymore

Find a k&n filter if you want the most clean air..The ones from ebay are paper filters,, and can cause a restriction in air flow..

Im confused, the intake box was connected to the inside of my passenger side quarter panel, but now that i put the intake on it is useless? what was the thing it was connected to?

That tube was connected to the bottom of the factory airbox which held the air filter. It allowed the engine to pull air from the fender which is cooler then the air under the hood. When you replaced it with the new intake that part is no longer used and can either be removed or you can just remove the plastic pipe and leave the rest of the box in the fender.
