Hello DSM gurus, i need your expertise please.. i tried installing my 10.5" ETS FMIC and after 8 hours still cant make it fit, this is my first time installing a FMIC.

I have a 95 TSI,

1st. MY FMIC core rubs against the front pipes (coolant?) and im afraid they'll break easily. is there a way to relocate them?,

2nd the J-Pipe does not fit through the crossmember, without cutting the fan motor mounts? but how to do that without messing the stock fans?, am i missing a pipe?

3rd The HKS BOV is flanged under the intake so it's impossible to recirculate without a long hose,? now my intake has a 1.5" but my HKS fitting tube is only 1" how would i recirculate? i tried Home Depot, Autozone and coulndt find anything.

4) with the ETS intercooler do i keep the crash beam? i would liek to keep it but it looks like it wouldnt be possible,

PS: i also looked for instruction on the ETS website with no luck,
help is appreciated, this is my Daily Driver and only vehicle, thank you!!! :)

The pipes your fmic is rubbing on are the power steering lines for cooling. Re-route them behind the vertical brace that is attached to the hood latch. you can unbolt that piece, then push the lines behind and bolt back in place. Will put a little tension on them but it will be fine.

alright ty

i missed the group buy. :( , it's hard to work on your DD and have it ready the next morning. anyway guys FMIC is listed in the classifieds. my loss your gain. any offers accepted.

Should have shopped around before buying. Vr-speed sells a relatively cheap fmic kit that bolts up good with a few tweaks but nothing too major that will make it a pita like the ets you were installing.
