Hey guys, I just brought my car in to the shop to fix a leak in the clutch. Well, turns out they had to replace both the master & slave cylinder. However, once I got it, after driving it for a bit, I could shift just fine, but there would be hardly any power? The rpms would rise, but no power?

The only time I've experienced this was with an 01 grand am that had a bad cat on it and couldn't breath. But that's not the issue here I don't think as this problem was there before bringing it in?

Any help or insight would be much appreciated as I'm pretty ticked that I have to bring it back. But I would like to at least know what is wrong before I bring it back, and if it has anything to do with the cylinder replacement?

When you say the rpms rise but no power I am assuming that means the clutch is slipping. IF the clutch is slipping it is very possible the clutch either was not bled properly or not adjusted properly down at the clutch pedal.

I would go with what the person above me said and say a slipping cluctch did they replace that if not that is where i would start
