well my car started to intermittently misfire on cylinders 2 and 3 which are ran to one of the coil packs, so ireplaced the coil pack with a used one from a junkyard and it still does the exact same thing, HERE is the problem, when you start it up it runs real smooth then after about 5 or 6 seconds cylinders 2 and 3 cut out completly and return and cut out and return and sometimes stays running good for about an hour or so and i can drive it and all is well, but every once in a while it will cut out on cylinders 2 and 3 even when im driving, also when it does this the tachometer twitches out and bounces around like there is a short in the tach, and only reads half the actual rpm, and the check engine light comes on, and im assuming from the missfires. now its completely dead on 2 and 3 and won't return to good running condition, there is no popping or real bad smoke when cylinders 2 and 3 cut out, it just only runs on 1 and 4, Now i just found out and confirmed that it is the injectors 2 and 3 that are failing, not the spark, so what would make the injectors cut in and out and now be permenant, i tested the wires on the injectors and I have 12 volts on both sides, so what is making them do this, someone please help, its my only car!!...thanks is it the ignition control module or could it be the injector resistor pak? or what? i hope not the ecu, could the ecu just shut down these injectors intermittently and now what seems to be permanent?? thanks in advance!:dsm:
