Infineon Wednesday Night Drags

Well I got off the phone with Paul and he was very pleased with how his 'Newlogics' O2 housing and external wastegate combo helped his car. I'll let him post about it if he wants, and I'll just say that his boost is rock solid now.

'Bout damn time! Well, I think most of you know I'm very pleased with my "Newlogics" o2 housing

First off, Danny, don't stomp Brian. At this point he knows theory better then practical situation, so saying 'your car should be faster' is like saing 'this water should be wetter'. No merit, but no harm either.

Next, Brian; Danny has come a looooong way from when I first met him. You are yet to walk that distance. For example, you will learn to NEVER attempt to estimate power by reading mod list.

Now...where was I? Oh yeah...
So as Ron said, I finally finished that O2 housing and installed my long-awaited external gate and dump. First thing I do is... well, I max out the boost gauge (30+psi) with only 5 counts of knock I might add. Apprently my MBC was fine. Actuator just sucked, so as soon as actuator was replaced by wastegate, boost shop up. It was fun but I tuned it down to 24psi for now. Tomorrow I'll plug a logger and try to bring it to 26-27psi. Technically, I'm ready for the track this wed., but seeing how Danny would probably want his meth kit installed before the track, I'll just wait till next week.
P.S. Some alarming shaft play was present on the exhaust side of my RS65. It still spins freely and smoothly, but now has me scratchin my head for possible near-future successor... more about that later. I won't let this snail off the hook untill bastard takes me to 11s.

Paul, thanks for the good words. Im glad to see your fabrication skills are good enough for you to run on your own car! Ha... You will have to give me a ride in your car tuesday. It felt fast as hell at 16 creeping to 20psi with no methanol... 24 or 26-27psi with methanol should be scary. As long as everything goes well tuesday i will for sure be going to the track with you next wed.

Brian, you caught me with that statement on the wrong day at the wrong time. Sorry if i came down a little harsh on ya (as it has been brought to my attention). But try not to call me out on statements i make that arent directed towards you. Ive seen a few posts of yours that id like to comment on but i dont because ive learned that if it doesnt involve me then i shouldnt involve myself.
And for the record, telling a dsm'r (someone who's car most likely isnt running correctly) that it should be faster is not the way to start a conversation or introduce youself to someone.

Anyways, moving on, dump some 100 octane in the car and you will enjoy your boost creep instead of fearing it. Skip track next wednesday to come to the "real" track with me and paul, and hopefully alex and anyone else who wants to join in on the fun.

jesus danny, I was just playing around. Im not going to insult you then ask for your help on getting 100 octane gas. I want to race just as much as the next guy, I was just noting how you always talk about going head to head with people. It would be fun regardless

Dave, the new setup won't go on this car yet... it'll go on another engine first. So I'll definitely baseline off the current setup. It should be done this weekend if I can get off my lazy ass and fix boost leaks.

Da, I have a whole shitload of stuff for sale off that car, including the car itself. The motor, tranny and seats are spoken for but pretty much everything else is up for grabs. Don't want to get this thread locked, but PM me if you guys want to buy anything from a 92 GSX. It's green with oxidized paint, but very straight body panels.

dudes... my track coach desided to pull a fast one on me. Runners are wednesday, and GIRLS feilds events are on wednesday. BOYS feilds events are on friday... Im definatly going to try my hardest to make it out there tomorrow.... I don't think anyone will notice if Im gone.... When are you guys leaving, and from where? I could jet home, get the talon, and fly over to pauls and make it there before 3, what time do you guys normally leave. (actually, maybe I'll ditch 6th just for this. I don't need to lift, and its not like the teacher would notice...) I could get to pauls by 2 at the earliest if I don't go to 6th, so when are you guys leaving?

and also, you guys are ACTUALLY coming this time, right? hopefully I'll need a helmet (I've learned its much harder than you think, no more newbie status for me, now I'm just a rookie.. ...if that)

next wednesday if I don't pole vault well. If I do pole vault well, then I might have to own some more newbs at tri valley. Im feeling pretty good about friday, on saturday I vaulted 11'10" and had more left in me to go higher. If the wind is good, I should be able to vault on the 160 holding higher (read, If the wind is good, I can vault on a bigger pole holding higher) and should be able to weasle a 12'6" jump out of me. The wind has been horrible lately and I still managed to vault 11'10", If the wind is good I can hold 8+ inches higher and I should be able to make 12 at the least. with a 12' jump I would be in 7th, if everyone else jumps what they are supposed to. One person has a bad day and Im in, top 6 advance. Either way, everyone better than me is graduting this year, so next year, Im going to be seated 1st... weeee....

I'll post friday on how I do. I should get my new computer tomorrow, my mom brought her laptop home, so I have been able to do a lot of posting tonight... (finally)

This is actually good for me that there will be no Drags until the 24th. The UEFA Champions League final is on the 17th so I'll be at Mad Dog in S.F watching that, because a man has to have his priorities Ronaldinho, Henry, Eto'o, Fabregas, there's no way I could miss Arsenal-Barca it's a dream final
