Any suggestions on increasing top-end? I got beat by a SRT-4 this weekend and it happened in 3rd gear, the SRT-4 had 18PSI and straight piped.

My current mods are:
MBC@11PSI (missing control module, can't change until I get a new one)
Downpipe 3"
Catback exhaust 3"
Hi-flow CAT 3"
Intake Pipe
K&N Cone Filter
Blitz Dual Drive BOV
Supra SMIC (awaiting installation)
Fuel Pump (awaiting installation)
Short Throw Shifter (awaiting installation)
TD05 Turbo (awaiting installation)

I'm running on the Stock T25 turbo. Any other suggestions that would improve top-end?

Please NO SRT-4 VS DSM wars. Just need suggestions.

At this point your top end is severely limited by your turbo....and your turbo is limited by your fuel system.

There are many ways to go about upgrading both systems and you should do them together. Read through some of the articles/faqs/threads here for some ideas.

A bigger intercooler might also aid you.

1G head doesnt always mean better top end.

That head flows more, but the 2g combustion chambers are more efficent.

I know someone who ran 11.2s on a 2g head with web cams, then swaped to a 1g head and no other mods. Afterwards could not get back to those 11.2s.

like i said .. 1g head = more top end
2g head = better lower end.
im sure that car was AWD were ya need more power off the line. not FWD were ya just spin off the line.
and he swapped in a head with stock cams.. and got less of a result eh?
was the 2g head ported ? it seems yer leaving stuff out.
Stock to Stock 1g head = better top end. 2g flows more off the line.
Ported 2g = best of both worlds.

to me top end is past a 1/4 mile.

dude lety me tell you my b16gported and clipped at 8psi wot(right before the car messed up) pulled like a raped ape...I mean 5 psi pull much harder than 15 with alll the crap I have don e on the t25. Swap the turbo and youll be made in the shade.

actually he swaped out the stock 2G head with web cams, with a stock 1G head with web cams.

Both of these heads had thier respective intake manifolds from what I remember.

I thought 1g intake manifold was better and 2g exhaust manifold was better. There's so much to get mixed up with these engines.

You aint kidding. Can somebody clear this up? 2g intakes have more direct runners right? And they're shorter too?

FAR As i know .. ya should keep 1g head with 1g intake.. the ports match.
2g intake runners are smaller ( just like the head ports )
