Incorrect Timing on Timing belt symptoms?

Ever since my cousin and uncle changed my timing belt my car sounds like its misfiring (when it is first turned on) and sounds like that until it warms up. Also the worst part is that it is smoking A LOT. Its a white looking smoke that smells nasty. I'm thinking they didn't do the timing correctly. Does this sound right?

Sounds like youre blowing coolant.

Just a few ideas -
They didnt torque your head down correctly.
They reused old stretched head studs.
The new headgasket is blown.


You can always pull the covers and check the crank and cam timing.
