In the middle of a 2g awd swap, couple of quick questions

I have a 2g awd donor car here, got everything i need just lost on 2 things. What size bolts do you guys that have done it use for the gas tank? And how thick should the metal be that i use to reinforce the front subframe bolts?

I just did the swap last year, and have no idea what you're talking about. Could you please post a picture of what you're talking about?

I'm thinking you're talking about the front sub-frame bolts. You have to cut the interior by the wheel well to get access to those two bolts. I didn't need to re-enforce anything, nor should you have to, unless you're doing an AWD spyder conversion. More info, and I'll be glad to help! =)

I am talking about when you cut through the back seat, it only thin sheet metal.

And as far as the gas tank bts, did you i sert new bolts or cut the studs off the awd and weld them to the gst. If you used new bolts what size bolt did you use and how long

Ahh, now I understand you.

Luckily for me, I re-used the AWD bolts; And if you have the chance to get at the AWD bolts, I suggest you do. However, if that is not an option; go to your local home depot with one of the FWD bolts, and ask someone in hardware to find you a GRADE 8 bolt with the same thread and pitch, but 1 3/4 longer then the FWD. You may also need to buy a pair of washers if the bolt head is too small.
