First off I would like to let yall know that I am about to leave Iraq and do not have constant internet availabilty, so i have done my best to research and search to the best of my time limits on the internet, so I apologize if I bring a beaten topic back to life! Ok well I researched the best I could about this but I could not find the specific details on my vehicle/swap. I got a lot of good info, but I couldnt really pin point what I was looking for. i have a 94 Talon NT and am trying to swap my tranny out. I am not exactly sure what I need for a 1g specific non turbo tranny swap. I am looking to remain FWD, not convert to AWD. That is all I could really find in regards to the 1g. I know this may not belong in the newbie forum, but I cant post in the drivetrain forum yet. I have found some 2g trannys, but I need to know what I need so I dont purchase the wrong components. I also found linkage from a 1g TSI that I am trying to pick up. I am currently in Iraq and I am just trying to find out exactly what I need so I dont waste time when I get home with the family haha. I would just like to know:
1. What tranny I can use
2. What linkage/clutch pedal assembly I can use
3. Any other components I may need for a quick swap and where I can pull them from.
btw I checked that common link that was posted about this but the URL had expired.
I am a mechanic and pretty proficient, so I dont need descriptions, just listings if you will. I plan on keeping the 4g n/a in there as well and like I said not looking to convert to AWD. Any links or info would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks a lot and I appreciate any replies I may get. Take care.
