cant find axles for my tranny...

i bought this trans off some kid and its a 2g trans. got it all in and went to put the axles in and they are too small. all i need is the inner cup and tripod to get them to go in? help please. thanks.

So are you trying to/already installed a 2g tranny on your 1g?

its already in my 1g i just cant find inner cvs for it.

You're gunna need the thicker inner toulops from a 2g. The problem is that the outer hubs on the 2gs are different from the 1gs so therefore you can't use the whole 2g cv axles. Another option is find CV axles from a 93-94 GST ONLY. It absolutely has to be from a 93-94 GST. Those axles have the thicker inners and regular 1g outers. Goodluck finding those. It almost always turns out the part store has them listed as the same ones the earlier FWD models use. Mitsu decided to make the FWD Turbo 93-94s only with thicker inner toulops and it makes finding them hard.
The other option is to open up the tranny and swap the differential, if it'll work. I know switching the differential from a 91-92 into a 93-94 tranny works but beyond that, I do not know if a 1g diff will fit a 2g tranny.

AWD 2g trans will work in 1g but not FWD 2g trans. I suppose if you took the outer cv joints off of a set of 2g FWD axles and replaced them with 1g joints it might work. Search "2g trans in 1g" -Good Luck.

so the tranny has a 27 spline diff... does anyone know what years 27 spline inner axles came in?
