I'd suggest getting on DSMTrader.com for something like that. Theres always people parting out cars that will sell anything for money... Use an escrow service though. I had one guy try to scam me by not sending me some fuel injectors after 2 weeks of waiting. Thanks to the escrow serivce, I got my money back and didnt lose out. www.escrow.com

well theres a store called western auto thats is a branch of advanced but i have a car around the corner (this is goin to sound weird) that is a 1g that is complete but the people that owned it moved off island and just left there car parked on the side of the road to get impounded. this is why im asking if 1g spindles and axles will work on my 2g. this is my only transpertation so i have to get it fixed tonight. thanx for all the replies i reallyneed all the imput i can get.

Hi all , we have the problem of being on an island , there is only one Junkyard here and it sucks , what Josh and I need is the models and yrs of cars that have the same front "knuckle" on the drivers side , he has a '96 GST and snaped the bottom off , shoved the wheel into the wheelwell , here there are cars that are around that we can get the part from , BUT , we could use help to figure out witch models have the same part , being there isn't a reverse part book , like they have in real junkyards , on the four islands around us . Believe it or not , there isn't a engine comression kit on the whole island either , which I need to fix my truck . Guess thats the price you pay for live'n on a mountain in the middle of the ocean.

So anyone that has a good junk guy we could use some help
:rocks:

could be a Knuckle , a spindel , or hub assembely , not sure , basicly what the top and bottom ball joints bolt to and it holds the axle hub assembely WTF

'96 eclipse gst fwd front driverside spindle any info on that part would help alot , we need a part # and cross ref to other models

thanx alot guys for the replies. i guess im goin to have to try and order a new spindle from either puerto rico or the states. i have never seen a spindle crack the way this one did. DAMN TOURISTS AND DRIVEING ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD! (we drive on the left) if anyone gets any more info please let me know. ive been useing vfaq and searching the site but no luck so far. again thanx guys

I own an awd tsi and my wife owns a non turbo. The driver side axle is totally different on these two cars. My awd has an axle carrier in the middle of the driver side axle, it mounts to the engine block. The non turbo just has a long axle with no carrier. Hope this helps.

awd drive axles can be use on fwd cars, it also help with torque steer. On my car i have nt axles being used with awd tranny. Hope it gives you an idea

thanx again guys... my axle seems to be fine now that ive tore it apart. i justneed to put it back in the spindle and the trans. the only prob im haveing now is finding a spindle. ive checked e-bay, the classifieds on here, junk yards in the states and puerto rico. i cant find one anywhere. i found a bumper, fenders and everything else but i cant find a damn spindle. thanx a gain guys.
