Im wanting to go EXT. Wastegate

I know I need a matched flange exhaust mani with an ext. wg. My question is when I go to block off the flapper door, what do I need to do? I heard welding on cast iron was a real booger? What kind of welder do I need to use? Could I take it down to the local Midas and have them do it? Or should I take it to an autobody shop? Is there any other alternatives instead of welding?

I think something like this might work for you. It's made by Buschur and from the looks of it, it just blocks off the wastegate exit. It wouldn't matter if the flapper were open or shut since the exhaust couldn't get out anyway. But it's pretty expensive when you could just have the flapper welded shut. Oh well. Alternative options make the world go round.
