Ok i put on an ext. wastegate on my stock manifold. I bought a 16g that had the flapper weld shut. not sure where to hook up my ebc line. its has a top nipple and a bottom nipple. which one do i use? also the car seems like it doesnt want to boost. ill step on it to wot. i see on my boost gauge that its hitting boost put it doesnt feel like it is. what might that be?

If you are just using a boost source (like with a mbc) you use the bottom port. Some ebc have a feature to try to keep boost steady and have two lines that go to the wastegate.

well i have a greddy profec b 2 and i put the line on the top. feels really wierd when i had my old 16g with an internal, it felt like it spooled up better than the ext. wastegate.

ok so in the pic, the wastegate has a fitting already on the top. im suppose to have it on the bottom right.

Aparently there are a few ways to hook this up. i also have a profec b spec II, from what i can see you can run it as you did with an internal gate hooking the line up to the side port of the wastegate. You can also T the pressure source going to the ebc and have that going to the side port, and the other line coming from the ebc going to the top port, which is how i have mine hooked up, though i haven't tryed it yet still putting in the clutch, but from what i've read thats also a possibility, not sure the best way.

so the top one is for the boost controller.

Wrong. The bottom is still for a boost controller. If you use the top you are also going to be using the bottom. That is because the only reason to use the top is with an ebc that allows you to use both to try and control boost better than a mbc. If you have an ebc look in the intructions and it will say if you have this function. They will also tell you how to hook it up for that function or an internal wastegate type function which you would only use the bottom port for.
