I'm looking into buying this 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX and I need help quick before it gets sold.

The guy who's selling it got it in a trade, he parked it and two days later he comes out and it won't start it just keeps turning. So he replaced fuel pump, battery, fuel filter and the computer, he started testing stuff and figured out that the injectors aren't getting power. So we went and tested ground and compression and other things. Compression was perfect, it had spark and the ground was at 41 Ohms which is very high I think.

Does anyone know what could be causing this, i just need anything and everything ASAP to test electrical wise.

And does anyone know what the injector ground in Ohms is supposed to be.

Usually start with replacing the mpi relay and go from there.
thanks, I just need a way to Cheak to see if it's bad without the guy knowing because he doesn't want to sell it, but he doesn't know how to fix it so that's why he is selling it for cheap he only wants 3,000 for a very good looking GSX. so can you explain if there is a way to Cheak it?
 
Well grab a meter and check pins on the relay.

Should have 12v sitting on pins 1,3&4 with key in and on. Pin 2 is a supplied ground from the ecu.

Dusty, If it's a 95 it going to have the single MPI relay not the two relays.

Ajay, the ECU is what "grounds" the injectors. You can't measure the resistance to ground at the injector and get a useful value.

The first step is making sure you have power, turn the headlight on, try turning the ignition on, watch for the Check Engine Light to turn on with the other lights during the initial bulb test and then go off after 5 seconds.

Make sure the engine will turn over.

Before you consider buying a 2G check the front strut towers for rust and if you find any move on unless your a skilled fabricator.

thanks, it has power to everything the injectors just Arnt getting any power for some reason and its only slight surface rust on struts and it does turn over

Precisely, that is why I pulled the 95/96 diagram and sent the single relay pic. Relay beside it not really in view in the pic is the fuel pump relay.
Also, besides the front strut towers, check the rear lower rocker panel spots that are notorious for rusting as well. Figuring out the injection system is nothing compared to rebuilding the rocker panels LOL.

Interesting… I had to double check but, I pulled the 95/96 electrical manual posted by Tim again off the site and it’s the same one I posted, not the one you have.. very odd. Just pulled the 97-99 one and it’s the same. Do we not have the correct electrical manual for the 95/96 posted here??
 
The 95-96 PDF is incomplete to save space dating back to the original scannning for the manual CD. I suspect they didn't know all the differences between the early and late 2Gs so parts that should be there aren't.

This issue with the MFI diagrams is one reason I bought a 95 manual set. I did the same for the 1990 cars because of all the differences. I first became aware of this after writing the first version of https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/2g-basic-ecu-mfi-mpi-relay-circuit-function.497188/ and peoplr pointed out the 95 was different.

As we sit here I'm not sure if this is a 95-96 only or just 95. I note that confusion is also in the post above.

thanks everyone for yalls help if you can think of anything else that would make the injectors on a 95 eclipse GSX not get power and have ground come out at 41OHMs just tell me or if yall find anything else that could be wrong

Just wanted to let yall know ow I've been typing something wrong the Injectors group d resistance was at 41MOHMs not 41OHMs
