I'm Completely Out of Ideas

Alright my car is completely messed up, i have no idea what the problem could be, but i have tons of symptoms. My car is undrivable now because apparantly my battery is dead, i have no idea how it got that way but i guess maybe my alternator died. Anyway i was on my home from school and my car just started freaking out. I was idlying at 2500rpms, i had zero power at all, i could barely get the car moving all it would do is bog. And i have a serious electrical problem, all my engine lights keep blinking on and off, i have barely any power to my appliances like my wipers, automatic seatbelts, my headlights wouldnt work, my turn signals were out.

I just have no idea where to look for a problem, me and my friend pulled the ecu to check for cap leak and its leaking pretty bad, but i'm just not sure thats the entire problem.

If there is anything else i should mention just ask me, because as of right now i do not have a car so i'm trying to get this fixed asap.

If u dont have any ideas on what my problems could be atleast give me some advice on how to get it fixed for cheap. If it is a problem with electrical or somethin like that i doubt i will be able to fix it by myself, so i will have to get someone else to fix it, but i know if its some serious electrical problem its gonna be ridiculously expensive along with any new parts i would have to buy (ecu, battery, alternator).

I mean i'm just completely out of ideas right now because i dont have enough knowledge to fix it by myself, should i just take it to the dealership? give me some ideas on where i should go. Is there a way to test my ecu to make sure thats the problem? or should i just buy a new one and see if that fixes my engine problems?

Any help appreciated i'm desperate right now.

There is an internet site(i cant remember it though....maybe someone will know what it is)...but u can send in ur ECU in to them and they will replace all ur caps and reseal it for likek 150$...not bad but u might beable to find one on ebay also for cheaper...your choice...as for the alt. u can take it into autozone or w/e and have it tested....its real easy to take it out and reinstall...not worth the dealership prices to do it for you....

Try pulling your alternator and having it load tested. If the alternator is dead and not charging the battery there will not be enough power to supply spark.
