im a 7 bolt guy, 6 bolt pro's..HELP!

Hey guys! I recently got my grubby little hands on a 6 bolt to rebuild. I plan on going slow and making this engine a monster. Here are my goals (long term, my dsm drives perfect)
9k RPM,
600+ HP

I am planning on Wiseco pistons, either eagle, or manley rods (possibly groden just to have em), and all the other goodies(springs, retainers, decent cams blah blah). My question is, can the stock 6 bolt crank handle 9k, and/or 600+ hp? Im not sure i want to shoot for 600 just yet, but i am wanting to hit 9k. If the crank cant do it, obviously ill go for a forged crank. Also considering a 2.2, or 2.3l stroker...mmmm the fun!

I guess my biggest question is, can the crank (stock) handle 9k?

I don't know about the stock crank but if you are dead set on revving to 9K don't build a stroker. They experience more stress from harmonic imbalance at higher RPMs then the 2.0 will.

i figured about the same, not really after torque, being a high rev freak, i would rather have the high rev 2.0 it is

Stock cranks are fine at 600whp and/or 9k rpm. Many guys are running stock cranks.

excellent!! just what i wanted to hear. Coooooool beans. Saved some money there! im assuming the same is for 7 bolts? (assuming you have the support equip to not crank walk?)

Although I don't have much experience with 7 bolts I have seen many make good power. The 97.5-99 7 bolts tend to walk less in part to their two piece thrust design. With that said any motor can walk. IMO I wouldn't be worried at all with either stock crank at 600hp as long as your machining/clearancing/assembly is done properly.
