I have logged about a weeks worth of hours tryin to solve this problem I've had for over a month. My car died all of a sudden one day would turn over strong but not start. I've had problems with cas' before so I check injector pulse with a noid light and nothing. I have 1 green top cas and 2 hall effect cas now and theres no way they are all bad. I can manually turn the cas and fire the injectors now but now I dont have spark like I used to have. I searched the forums and found a test for everything in the ignition circuit and still cant find the problem. I know without spark I wont have injector pulse. I tested the power transistor with a 1.5v and a 12v battery and tested fine. I have not however tried this under heat. I found a hole in the side of the coil pack and replaced that with a used one I had. Both secondary resistances in the cracked one and the used one tested within spec however unless I'm doing it wrong the primarys on both are out of spec. After installing the used coil the car fired seem to run well and I turned it off and tried starting it again and nothing. I have 12v and ground to the cas. I read alternating 5v coming out of the signal wires from the cas. I pulled the ecu no leaking caps no fish smell. MPI relay is clicking and tested fine. I tested the injector resistors at the clip and were within spec. I dont know what else to check or what order I can go to rule out problems. I would appreciate any help from the wiseman as I have done every mod to my car, I tune it myself, and these forums usually help me fix everything but I'm sick of searching and being without a car. If anyone lives close to Malone, NY 12953 with a 1g that wants to make the trip to let me swap parts to figure this out I will compensate their time and gas as well as show you the graveyard of dsm parts I have and I probably have what you need if you do. Thanks everyone in advance.

I dont mean to do this but I really need some help. Does anyone have a sequence of things to try in order that helps eliminate certain things and points me towards the solution?

Even though the ECU does not smell, it is worth it to source a DSM buddy with a 1G and swap ALL components with working ones. Even though stuff tests out right, sometimes they're faulty anyway. This is going to sound retarded because you obviously have tested the circuitry in everything, but at least it's a foolproof way of doing it.

Swap the following from a running 1G

-ECU (with your old one, if you turn the key to ON does the CEL go on and then off?)
-spark plug wires (use discretion)
-spark plugs (use discretion)
-power transistor
-cam angle sensor
-coil pack

I gather you've done this already, so the only thing that comes to mind is the wiring in between. luv2rallye is an electrical expert and he has many many posts that can help you if you search. here is a post that I went through just recently:

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/tun...9-electrical-gurus-needed-2-3-not-firing.html

I would research this post and thoroughly inspect continuity where he specifies. Do this with key off and harness unplugged. I realize those are for a 2g, but suspect that this will be your issue if you find the corresponding wires for a 1G.

goodluck
