I was just driving my car after hooking in my new subs. When I hit boost my lights flashed, including my radio and I lost power briefly. About another 15 seconds later I hit boost again and the car Hopped / Bucked violently 4 times and shut off. I lost all power. After popping the hood I noticed my ignition fuse was blown. Could all this have happened because of my subs?

Depending the power drain caused by the subs it is possible to overload other circuts. Where are you drawing from for the subs?

The subs are into my amp and of course the amp is into the battery. The car was running great until I hooked the subs in, and if it is possible that a power surge has these symptoms such as the car bucking then I'll stick with the subs as my answer. I guess I should just replace the fuse tommorow, unhook the subs and see what happens. Is it possible that my clutch would cause this? I'm running a stock clutch on around 14psi. Could a slipping clutch cause that bucking I got and power failure? I dont know I guess there is probably alot of possibilities until I start eliminating some of them.
