whats up fellas? If anyone would like to post some track times/dyno numbers thats runnin a t28 please do. I am trying to compare yalls numbers with mine and get an idea of what this turbo is really doing. I have a reletively stock car and last night I ran my best time ever:D I think it was more driving than hp. The closest track to me is a 1/8th and it opened last night so I strolled on down there and it was packed. I only got 2 runs but did manage to squeeze off a 8.5 and a 8.6 both @ around 81mph. I was really happy because I was just trying to get in the 8s. Keep in mind I am still running stock fuel setup, no tuning, stock smic, and only 10psi! I honestly think I could have shaved at least 2 tenths off with a better launch. I was spinnig all 4 tires to about the tree. Thats gotta be at least 2 tenths. I got the 8.6 run on my digital camcorder but I am not sure on how to post it, I am still on dail up:barf: I do have a fire wire connection to transfer data faster, I am just cpu dumb. let me know what you guys think.
 
oh yea, my future mods will be a stage 3 chipped eprom, 560s, and a walbro 190. I might change o2 housings, not sure. I dont want to do more than that to this paticular car. CRANKWALK prone. just a comuter car!

I have learned every car is extemely different. Not only does this apply for DSM's but other makes as well. The shop I was at told me to expect anywhere from 250-275hp. Reason being was they had a few 16g's in and with all supposrting mods, and more boost with a FMIC only managed to pull off ~280
So with my setup(in profile) and my boost setting I managed to pull 290/297 which I was VERY happy with. My car only has about 40k on it so, I guess you could say it is in good shape.

Before the O2 housing, injectors, intercooler, more boost and the tune, the car's best was a 103.8 trap. I son't know what to expect now so... I will never look or tell my 1/4 times due to terrible wheelspin, the ever so ### FWD curse, LOL.

I had a old skool t28 not a big or killer made 298 to the wheels at 17psi ran 13s all day very consistent 13.0 was my best at 107mph that was on fwd with a 2.11 60'. with fmic,550,255,3 inch exhaust,tubular02,s-afc.

I have to admit that Ive probably ran that track at least 60-70 times. 3 dsms, 1 yamaha r6, 6sec banshee atv, 7sec 400ex atv. although that track sucks (no traction) I have figured out how to launch my talon pretty good, and an 1/8th mile track is basicaly a whole shot and 2 gear changes.
 
i ran 14.4 @98mph 3days after installing my big28. i had #4 plugs fouled (damn iridium, the electrode broke ;) ). i had the basic supporting mod with just 255lph fuel pump as fuel mod. oh this has been over couple years ago.

What were the basic mods and boost at? That seems real low trap.
My best was a 103.8 and that was with stock ic, stock injectors, stock O2, and stock tune and 16psi.
 
what kind of fpr were you running? I see your from Indy, I bought my talon from a guy in Evansville. Drove from Raleigh NC, like 10hrs one way, crazy. Nice ride but not too much to look at! The tunnels on the way up there a fun as hell though! wwwuuuuuggggghhh............ppppssssssshhhhhh, I felt like I was on Need For Speed

Best dyno for me was 242 whp / 268 wtq in hot ass Florida summer heat by Gary Marsh. Mind you that I have a rebuilt A/T (tq converter + shift kit) so I have more drivetrain loss than the m/t T-28s. I've never bothered going to the track because fwd just isn't meant to drag imo. Every now and then I street race...yeah yeah I know, but I do it anyway. I've beaten an M3 to 105 as well as a stock evo, however the other day I got straight KILLED by a stock GTO from a stop. I'm only carrying 69k miles so I try not to beat up my car anymore, not to mention waste gas.

Considering I am on stock injectors and SMIC still, I'm quite happy with the feel of the car. Most DSMs on the road these days are ricers anyway, or N/T or stock turbos. My only complaint is that the turbo has excellent pull to 90, but past that it really lacks balls. Guess there's no substitute for size in that area. The T-28 is so small its hard to tell it different from the T-25 just from looking at it under the hood.

Not sure if I will bother modifying this car beyond where its at. I'm in grad school at the moment and I'm thinking of just moving to a C5 vette once I start working again. No nonsense easy power there. I like the evo but I tire of four bangers. A blown V-8 is what I am interested in now.
