Anyone ELSE out there have a T28 with a automatic tranny???

ok, i have a 1998 GST with a FP Big T28 ported turbo, exhaust manifold and 02 housing is ported to match the internals of the T28, 3" intake pipe with apexi cone style filter, Greddy IC piping with Type S BOV, RSR catback exhaust, cat is straight thru, MBC set at 16 psi....now, what can i expect to run in the 1/4??? the car is pretty quick but the automatic tranny really really kills me!!! i am hoping to take the stock Mustang V8 GT's....i want to take this to the track but i just cant get the time to....i also have a 3" hi flo cat waiting to go on and im on the search for a good DP

So, far your on the right track. I had somewhat similar mods on my 97 FWD AT when i went to the track.. I had a S16G,FMIC ,stock injectors(only a upgraded fuel pump), etc. I ran a best (actually only once) of 13.1@105 mph. I had a few tricks up my sleeve. J/P. Other then that i was running high 13's but mostly 14's. I also has a couple 15 and 17 sec passes. My worst one was 19 i believe. I had MAJOR TUNING problems at the track. But w/ your set up. Don't get scare now. I would say solid LOW 14's you might be able to pull a 13.9 but i doubt it. But you can coun't on 14's. See it's not just your set up. Your trans is like you said kills you.. In my opinion it's already going bad. I'm already on my 2nd tranny. I don't want t make this post too long. if you have any more Q's send me a PM.

About Mustangs. On the street you can take them. As long as the race doesn't last any more then a 1/4 mile. On a roll you can keep up w/ them for a while. On the track you still take them(if mostly stock). The day i went to the track. 90% of the Mustans where running high 13's they were stuck.
 
im awd on fpbigt28 ported, 18psi, rewire fp, 3" catback, gutted cat, hard upper ic piping, type s, no tuning. ive only been to the track once but you dont want to know what i ran there :) ..actually, i drove 130 miles at 80 mph to get there, then ran 4 times in a row because they were closing, my best was 14.9 at 93 with a 2.2 60', worst was 15.6 at 80 something mph and a 2.5 60'. these are rediculously bad times, i wasnt able to build any boost off the line all night and basicly the car was running like absolute rancid shit but i still managed a 14.9. in races up to about 95 i put a few cars on a buddy of mines car that runs mid 14's so my car is a low low 14 right now, high 13 is probably possible. you are fwd so its not really a good comparison, and i also installed the shift kit which saves some shift time. you should be in the mid 14's if your car is anything like mine. i need to get back to a track when my car isnt boiling hot and get some real times.
