When I first start the car it idles normal at around 7-800 rpms.

I went and did a full pulls and came back and shes idling around 1500 rpm?

I gave it a minute and it stayed at 1500. What could this be?

Was at operating temperature before and still idled normal around 700-800, but after the pulls it was around 1500. Today I started back up and its back around 700-800.

Could be a few things. Boost leak. Fiav. TPS, stuck throttle cable etc. Do a boost leak test.

Its a DSM. Its idle will almost always have a mind of its own. Get used to it. :)

I've learned to live with that too. For example. I just started warming up my car for work, and 5 minutes in, its starts chuddering and stumbling for like 2 seconds, then for the rest its fine. 0.o.

I've owned six DSM's, three first gens and three second gens. All which have been the turbo model (5 GSX, 1 GST), I've had them from bone stock to light mods up to my current 500+HP DSM. They always have a mind of its own. Honestly, it don't matter how much work goes into gettin that idle perfect, the damn thing will always just have its good days and its bad days.

But yeah, I'd start with a basic vacume leak test like any ol repair shop mechanic would do. That would be a good starting point. Good luck, but at the end of the day you'll just have to learn to live with it any how...

Alrighty, thanks man.

Im going to have new struts/springs put on, and have the clutch/hydrological line serviced within the next 2 days. Do I just ask them to do a boost leak (vacuum leak) test for me?
