idles but bogs and surges if given gas HELP!

So without going into a laundry list of problems, bought a 91 talon tsi from a guy who said he did have time to make it a ...race car any more

So now I have to go back over everything he did wrong

Main issues I have it idleing but when ever I give it throttle it boggs down and starts surging...to help heres what I know he did....front mount, 16g turbo, relocated battery...and swapped stock 1g turbo throttle body with a non turbo 63mm tb, removed ac, and heater core

What ive done??

Replaced...ecu, coolant temp sensor, fuel filter, fuel pump (255), adjusted timing...bought ics then realizing theres a non turbo tb on it :/

An removed the dumb apex afc

Next thing is look at the wireing harness bc he has the clutch pedal switch bypassed
So im gonna go over everthing even the cluster lights all dont come on or work properly


Its a nightmare...### help any suggestions?

The AFC intercepts the MAF signal and the MAF signal wires have to be connected/spliced back together. You can't just unplug it/unless you already did that. Verify the idle switch also (on the TB).

Seems MAF related.
