Idle & Timing problem...weird as hell

OK guys i got a 93 plymouth laser mods are turbo xs BC and K&N...thats it....Well i recently checked the timing on the car because it would fall flat on its face if i downshifted into 2nd and boosted...to my suprise it was WAYYY off...when i say way off....i mean i barely could c the mark on the crank pulley....so i adjusted it the proper way by grounding the wire and adjusted the timing to 5 degrees BTDC...OK so now thats done right?

So i also adjusted my RPM to 750....using the idle air screw which was weird cuz when i lowered idle to 750 the motor would hesitate/jump bad(even with timing set at 5 BTDC)....but when it was set around 900-1000rpms it ran real good. But i set it at 750 cuz i believe thats factory spec. Ok so now im driving along and boosted...and to my suprise the car shut off! so im like wtf...start it up again....boosted again...and it shut off again only when i let off the gas to switch gears...so i go home raise the idle to 950rpms...hit the same boost...and it didnt die...Did i set the idle too low causing it too shut off? One more thing...after i set the idle to 950rpms and i got done running the car...the car would idle at 1100rpms...and jus sit there and run good....i dont get y the idle keeps going higher? Any input would be appreciated thanx guys.
 
Guys i also forgot to add i got a hacked MAS....another thing is at idle im getting 16 inches of vacuum....and when im decelerrating im getting about 20? does this sound right to u guys?
