idle surge with new ISC

So, before I replaced the ecu and rewiring the fuel pump, I had a normal running car, I replaced the ISC with a new unit since the old one burned out my old ecu, I replaced the ecu and added link lite and rewired the pump and got P0042 and had to rewire pin 13 to another 12v source in order to get the car to stay running. I now have idle surge and I have not touched anything motor wise except a new isc, I turned the biss all the way closed and still idles between 1000-2100 rpms. It just bounces around, anyone that might know whats up? Thanks

oh Im mistaken, the CEL shuts off when the car is running, but it stays solid when its just on the last click with the motor off. get it? I use link and check DTC's.

Maybe it's a side effect of the prior hack job you did trying to get rid of the fuel pump CEL.

Try using some dyelectric grease in the electric plug. I was having the same problem with a new isc and i decided to try that and it fixed it. Good luck.

I verified in my car that the CEL doesn't turn on in ACC.
Make sure you have reasonable values in DSMLink for the Dash Controls setting for Knock and Coolant CELs.

Cel is on during run though right? And ill try the grease, btw how can the hack job do that? I just wired the mpi 12v to the fuel pump 12v.

Only for the first five seconds.
Like I said make sure your not forcing it on in DSMLink.

how would I force it on? Im not totally sure what you mean, and yes it shuts off after 5 seconds.

I tried the connector grease, no help, i decided to just fiav blockoff, do i need a new gasket for the fiav?

It was the ecu -__-, i bought a junk ecu that did everything you described thats supposed to happen.
