Checked the ICS motor... Ended up replacing it. Old one had about 40 ohms across the board.

New one reads 28.0 - 29.2 across the board.

Still having idle surge.

Checked the ERG. Only known solution... Block it off.. Done..

Still having idle surge.

Pulled the throttle body. Cleaned it (Was not all that dirty, to begin with)

Still having idle surge.

I have no means of checking the vacuum lines, other than pulling them off and listening for air sucking.

Other than that, I have run out of ideas (And suggestions in the vfaq)

Anyone have any other pointers?

91 Eagle Talon, NT FWD.

Thanks...

Dave

Here's a dumb question: Did you time it? I had idle surge for awhile and could not figure it out, then I timed it and adjusted the BISS and it stopped. Just a few weeks ago (after about 4 years of no surge), it started doing it again, so I timed it again and noticed the BISS had moved pretty far up. Now the surge is gone.

Yeah, about 2 - 3 months ago, I think.

It's had idle surge since the day I bought it.
I've tried adjusting the BISS, right now, its all the way down - 1 turn.

If i unplug the connector from the TB (Can't recall the name of it), the idle surge goes away, and the car idles steady, but at 2500 RPM.

The idle surge is between 1200 and 1500, with a rich smell. (Again, with that connector disconnected, at steady idle, exhaust smells fine).

The ONLY Vac line that I could see that had a problem was the one going to the Fuel Pressure Regulator. Fixed that, still having idle surge.

I am out of thoughts as far as fixing this goes.

I guess I could have the timing checked again, but that'll be 2 week off.

you have a logger hooked up? last year i was having idle problems and when my logger was hooked up, it would surge...if i unplugged it, it would be fine...just FYI...i dont have an answer for ya

had the same problem with surging
turned out the wires to my o2 sensor was laying on the downpipe and burned through
replaced the sensor and wires
surging went away
didnt get a cel either even with the o2 sensor no longer attached

Thanks,

I'll check that this evening when I get home.

As far as a logger, No.. I do not have a datalogger attached.. That's on my Christmas list however. ;-)

I'll post the status of my O2 sensor when I get it checked out.
