Running ecmlink v3 with 3" gm maf close to the tb.

Now I looked this up and found no real solution other than adding a bit more fuel at idle to compensate for the unmetered air that passes through the pcv.

No other vacuum leak besides the pcv and new seals so no boostleak at tb gaskets nor IM.

For the most part it idles great and steady. But out of the blue it would surge from 1000-1.5k. It sorts itself out after a few minutes but it's rather annoying. And would rather fix it.

Is there no solution to this? Other than SD?
I didn't go SD because I didn't see the need for it. But if idle is going to be like this then SD maybe worth it

The only thing I can think of if is use or cap off the nipple on your intake manifold and route the PVC and pipe into a catch can with a breather filter, if you do that you might as well route the line that goes into your valve cover to intake pipe also in the catch can. Fixed no more un metered air. Any other ideas?

most off the time surging is do bc the iac is looking for water and cant find it you might check you fluids and burb the system also S.D is the best way to go for power and is more reliable also are you running E85 b/c the tented to do that till you fine tune them. also make sure you getting coolant to the iac and its passing throw the system back to the radiator also if you can post a video of it doing it.

WTF?

The last thing you want around the ISC/IAC is water. Perhaps you really mean the FIAV, as in someone disconnected the coolant lines for it.

How you meter your airflow has nothing to due with surging, it's the actual amount of air bypassing the butterfly and the ECU's programmed behavior to deceleration fuel cut that causes surging. Fixing the source of the additional air (like making sure the FIAV is closed once the engine warms up) is the key to correcting the problem.
