Idle perfect when Fan runs, when it stops, Choppy

thats the question.

After heat up, idle is rough and choppy, until the fan kicks on, then it is perfect and even. fan kicks off, rough again,....


any ideas?

Measure both the DC and the AC volts on the battery with the fan both off (rough idle) and on (smooth idle) and post here. I have an idea.

OK Ill get to that when I wake up today,

Its a brand new die Hard battery.
and the ALT belt needs replaced. I was going to do it today, but the Lower bolt is on backwards, and i couldnt get to the nut to loosed it, so I plan to just hold off on that until its oil change time, becuse If i remove the filter i can get at the nut.
