My factory turbo finally bit the dust after 140k miles so I picked up an evo3 16g. I know im not gonna see a power upgrade without any supporting mods but it was the right price and had a warranty :thumb:

My problem is this: after the turbo install whenever my passenger side rad fan kicks on the idle drops severly and about half the time actually dies. Normally I would associate something this with a weak ground, but I touched nothing electrical other than unplugging the MAS to move it. Other than removing the front driver bracket between the head and power steering pump (its ugly so I wanna keep it off until its needed to pull the engine) the setup is identical to before. Could this plate have been grounding something im not aware of or should I be looking somewhere else for the cause?

Also with the new turbo should the ECU be reset or anything to allow it to learn the new turbo or should it be able to compensate on its own?

750-800 rpm. It seems to idle better once its been driven a bit, but for the first start of the day it likes to stumble
