Idle Issue after Headgasket replacement

got a 95 Auto Eclipse GST......Had the headgasket, timing belt, Balance belt, Water pump changed. Head was machined, Pistons were soaked and cleaned, and the Throttle Body was cleaned. Now my idle was fine before all this, Now it is fluctuating between 500-800. Any ideas?

what did you clean the throttle body with? If the solvent was too strong, you may have deteriorated the seals and have massive vac/boost leak.

i had it done at a garage.......my boost/vac gauge is reading normal Vac pressure

I may be on the wrong track, but the computer needs 3-7 days to re-learn and smooth things out. Since a shop did it for you I would probably take it to them to diagnose.

They have it right now and are stumped!!! Can anyone else confirm the 3-7 day re-learn period?

Turned out to be a stupid Plug wire......anyways........It seems my exhuast is ALOT louder after getting my car back. Especially when i got WOT......It sounds like a differant vehicle. They said they got a lot of crap off the pistons and they cleaned the entire Throttle Body and all the intake stuff they could in the Parts Washer. He said that a ton of crap came out . Could that extra room and cleanness or whatever you wanna call it be causing this?? Im gonna try to get a sound byte and get it posted somewhere maybe someone can help me out. It just doesnt sound like it used to. Its probably a good 3-4 times louder

Someone said that my Timing might be off by a tooth or something would that cause the exhuast sound to be louder?? Also i got my Compresion from them

it says Spec is 133min and 178max with a allowance of 14psi variation between cylinders? Is this correct??
