Shiloh,
I am all of a sudden running into a problem with my Tsi. The problem is while i'm driving it it is fine, but the second I push the clutch in to either brake, or just coast the rpms drop (like they should) but the problem is that they drop all the way to zero and it dies. it is happening about 75% of the time, and when it does go to idle it idles very rough. Any ideas, I thought at first it might be a bad ISC, but the more I read that seems to cause idle surge and not a lack of idle. Any ideas?

Can you explain to me how it could be boost leak? My turbo boosts quite fine, and has good response, plus what does turbo boost have to do with letting the engine shut off when it is supposed to go to idle?

Sounds like a bad ISC to me. A bad ISC can cause idle surge but will also just cause the engine to die at idle. Check the coil resistances on the ISC. This can be done with the ISC still on the engine.

I had the exact same probelem with my first talon (RIP) and today with my new car 90 eclipse. same exact syntoms you have and what I did to fix it was set your BISS screw all the way in, so tighten it full, then back the screw out 2-3 full rotations, I found with both my cars the screw was like 6-7 turns out. Also put your lower honeycomb back it, some people will say that you dont need lower but for me it worked twice now.

used high octane fuel and get your injectors clean if the probmel presists, or you can get gass additive to clean your injectors but wont be as affective as taking to a shop and getting it done.

hope this helps

I will try all of those things, I have also screwed around with the BISS a little and it doesn't seem to be working. Is it also that it might be because of a bad TPS or bad o2? I have heard these things might have an affect also.

Ah that is what I was looking for. I knew vfaq had something on it but I couldn't find it, thanks. And upon further review I might have done the adjustment wrong. I turned the screw without jumping the fuses, so my ECU is probably all out of whack. I'll try some things and see what happens. Thanks guys.
