Hey everyone im new to this site.I have a 1990 eclipse gs -turbo.When I bought my car it had some major problems so after replacing the turbo and such I sent it to the shop got it fixed.I have 2-3 little problems.#1 When I rev the car up to about 5-5500rpms from the throttle body the engine gets real loud not normal loud but real loud and when the idle drops the car will die..#2After driving the car on the highway or at high rpms sometimes the idle will stick at 2000 rpms then the temp guage and heater wont work that will last for about 10 mins then everything will be fine.#3 As with problem 1 when im driving the car at high rpm about 5-6000rpms like if you were racing someone. The engine is real loud it sounds like its going to blow..I have done the silencer mod so the turbo sounds real good when it spools but sometimes all you can hear is the engine..I almost forgot if my car idles for more than 45 mins it will smoke white smoke then 5 mins of driving will clear it right up..If you have any info on any of these problems please let me know..By the way the car is all stock.I put brand new spark plugs and wires a couple days ago..Plugs are ngk..Wires are bosch premium not my choice of wires but the are new..Thanx in advance...(matthew) :thumb: :dsm:

Sounds like a number of issues. My first guesses would be improper timing belt installation (balance shaft alignment) and also bad ECU. You could probably check compression yourself, so I would do that first, then if you or someone else knows how to check the timing marks CORRECTLY (since the b.shaft can be tricky), go to that. If that checks out, perhaps swap temporarily with a working ECU. Good luck.
