LOL i work at an auto parts store that was my first thought o hell buy a new one you'll get it cheap. WRONG i cant get it threw work. so i called the dealer list on it is 400 somthing he goes well i could see it to you at wholesale for 340 im like no thanks. ive ben doing some research and i heard 3000 gts and a few other cars have the same isc control unit can some comfirm?

I had a friend soak his in gasoline for a bit and it fixed that prob real quick... but check for vac leaks too.. that will make you idle hella funny... also, check your ign. timing and tps sensor.. they may just have gone out of wack

The FIAV block off works for some guys but others have ended up with incurable idle surge after doing it. I would do some searches on it before making a decision.

I definitely would not recommend disabling your IAC motor. It is needed to help regulate the idle and keep it within spec. First, use an ohmeter to test your ISC. You can see that simple procedure in this article from vfaq:

This also discusses idle surge and gives a link to an even more in depth discussion of it. If you do end up needing to replace the ISC then you can get a used one for $35 here (scroll to bottom):
