My launch is the one thing that loses most of my races. I know this question has been asked before but im really not asking what a good way to launch is. After losing by a car length to a modded 89 mustang gt i went home and worked on my launch. I tried a bunch of ways and i found that if i rev to 3 1/2 and not dump but feather the clutch out fast i get the least amount of wheelspin and i can keep traction through redline. My question is that since there wasnt a car racing next to me i really couldnt tell if my technique would work so is this a good way to launch. To be completely honest ive only beat a car once off the launch. When i raced the gt i took it to 5k and feathered it fast but couldnt gain any traction in first.

on FWD 3K to 3.5K and slipping the clutch (like you explained) is probably the best way to do it. Dumping clutches is a AWD thing, dumping doesn't produce too hot of results in a FWD vehicle.

Also don't Honda drop it (Redline drop) thats just asking for shit to break, and you'll just spin and spin anyway.

Other than that I have no suggestions

I don't dump in my GSX. I slip it til it grabs, then let it out smoothly.

I go 3-3.5k and feather it alot if I want a quick launch. More clutch? maybe, but without a good launch you know he is going to pull ahead a bit. And then you are going to panic and instinctivly punch the gas spinning the tires until your competition is gone.
