I have a 92 talon awd with a 16g and all of the supporting mods. Its an automatic. My question; I have a guy I work with who has a 94 civic with a B18C and an aftermarket (ebay) turbo...im pretty sure that my 1g dsm will smoke him but wanted to get some input on this. Because I KNOW this race will happen legally on a track. Yes you should win givin you have a solid launch. We are getting very little info on the honda though. Is it stripped? Suspension? Slicks? What size Ebay turbo? and also are you a solid and consistant driver?(auto helps here)

Yes it is going to happen on a track and from what i gather its just one of the cheapo $600 turbo kits off ebay. to be honest ive never looked at any of those...figured they were all "junk". His car is built more for show than go. Its not stripped and it is a two door but not a hatch.

What kind airflow are you getting from the 16g? If he gets a good launch it could be a close race. A typical coupe civic is around 2500 to 2800lbs with the driver depending on the model and the b18 is a stout motor especially if it the b18c1 variety from the type R(jdm). My guess is if that Ejunk turbo of his works at all he will start to pull on you a bit but not enough to catch up and again that is assuming you have a solid launch.

^^^ Comes down to weight and who launches better. You have the advantage in the launch, he has the weight. If its a "bolt on ebay kit" Then more than likely hes not running too much boost. But if he IS and runs some sticky tires up front he may reel you in. You need to know what size turbo he has and what psi he will be running. Of course, with shitty tires none of that will matter really cause your launch will kill him.
