My poor little BONE STOCK dsm decided timing was over-rated. it bent valves and all that fun stuff, but my question to you is this:

Because my goal is sub 12 second quarter mile times, should I have the head ported now while it is taken off?

I've heard that the head is pretty good as far as air flow is concerned, but I dont' want to go through the whole mess of taking the head off again to port it down the road.
