I want to get a big t-28

OK I want to get a big t28 But before that I want to get all the supporting mods.
I plan on getting (aside from what I have already) a 3in downpipe and o2 sensor housing, upper and lower IC pipes, fuel pump. Do you recommend I injectors and a fuel management system? I have a very tight bugdet, I don't want to spend more then $300 for these supporting mods and if I don't need injectors or fuel management...well ya know. Oh and will the stock smic with pipes handle it? Obviously I'm going to be buying used parts.

As long as you keep the boost under 15psi, you should be fine with stock injectors, pump, and ECU. If you have a logger, make sure you check to see that your not running lean. I'd run stock boost first, then slowly start turning it up making sure to not go over 15psi.

What size fuel pump are you getting? If you're going with a 190 lph pump, you'll be able to get away with using the stock fpr, if you're going bigger, you'll need an adjustable unit.

300 huu. that is tight. humm. well i would suggest having a muffler shop make you a downpipe, or geta mandrell no name one from ebay for $110. 86 the o2 housing, just port it out! as for the upper intercooler pipe, find a good used on on ebay, or dsmtrader for $60. 86 the lower intercooler pipe, the lower pipe flows relitivly well. as for a pump the 190 ebay special for $80 and a $8 rewire made from radioshack will work great for a cheap budget. as for the fuel mangment well, you wont need it like black said with stock injectors. if you can get your hands on a palm you can get logging software and cables for $125 @ pocketlogger.com. so thats $383.

What are you looking to get out of the car? Quick street car? I would go with a 3in exhaust before you get a Downpipe. Your stock o2 sensor is fine, you could always port it. In your profile it says you have a 1g bov? Do you have upgraded uic pipe already, or just a flange for the bov?

Once again it matters on your goals. I would recommend injectors, fuel pump, and fuel control if you want to boost higher then 16-17psi. Thats going to put you in the upper $450 bracket used ($200 inj, $100 fp, $150 fuelControl)

Yes the smic is ok for now, though if you plan on running high boost later your going to want to upgrade. Otherwise you'll lose power from the small smic.
Theres nothing wrong with used parts, (unless your sold buck sh1t) but do some reasearch on what you buy first. Your don't want to waste money on something you don't use.

Well I think my 2.5in catback should be fine for now. I'll get a 3in downpipe and if I need to upgrade the 2.5in catback later on I'll do so. I've been looking on ebay click here hope that works. Are any of those $95 ones any good? I noticed in the description is say "it completey replaces the stock precats" Sorry for the noob question but whats a precat?

Whats your definition on safe? As long as he's not hot roding all day long. I think he'll be fine till he purchases his upgrades. I ran no fuel upgrades (just rewire) for a year on a t-28, and never had a problem @ 15 pounds.

I've heard ok things about the megan dp. Some people don't like it because of its 2.5 in neckdown, before the flexpipe. I like my RRE, and i've heard they look identical. It replaces the cataylatic converter(precat). It will just be the megan dp, and your exhaust.

I'd keep an eye out for lean conditions, but I ran my evoIII 16g, which is similar, at around 15 psi with stock injectors and stock pump. I logged a pretty good timing curve with that. Some cars are different and I had a few mods with that, but the general consensus on this site is not over 15 psi.

I ran 15psi on my BigT-28 with stock fuel system but did tune with an afc+logger.. was slightly lean. I now have 660's and a 190f/p and couldnt be happier at 18psi. Anything higher and the SMIC heat soaks. If you still want a BigT-28... i may sell you mine.

I have the megan racing downpipe that goes from 2.5 to 3" and I love it. Best of both worlds

The o2 and downpipe isn't needed right away. I ran my T28 with UICP, 1G bov, intake, and fuel pump for a while at stock boost with no problems.

You "could" run a t-28 totally stock and youd still feel a difference from the t-2small. Everything you add will help the performace of the turbo. Exhaust lets it breath.... intake parts lets it get more air.... so on and so forth... Im sure you knew that but thoguht id throw it out there. You dont need a 3' eliminator turbo-back with dsm link, 770's a 255f/p, 30" drag core FMIC, and short route to have fun on this turbo. It just helps
