I want 400 HP... TO THE GROUN-DA

Some of you guys are too much. These forums are to help people not make them feel like chit.

I myself am a 2g owner with that mystical 400hp goal(flame me in private if you like). I can say i have been working with these cars long enough to know about what i need to get there. Let's be honest no one will know if they had not been there.

i agree with NOSLASER 100% however i still fail to understand why going with a big setup from the get go is such a bad idea. if you have all the supporting mods and tuning tools. start with very low boost, and tune you're way up the boost scale as i call it. why is that such a bad idea? i would think a well thought out setup, would make much more sense. then buying stuff you will not need later as you're setup progresses. i started with a 100% bone stock talon. from the beginning, i knew i wanted a 400 HP mid 11 second semi daily driven car. race gas pump gas whatever. i could not afford to buy every thing the same day. so i researched, and researched. then bought parts as funds permitted. it was not the end of the world if i could not drive my car for a couple weeks. If you know what you want to do. I say do it, just don't start to install parts until you have everything you need to support you're goals.

thanks, i like some of the optimism, it is nice sometimes to thrash a car that you know cost at least 3 times as mcuh as yours did... thatnks

price isn't everything... Just becoause our cars are worth 3x as much doesn't mean anything.

Just remember their cars are prolly 3x faster than you.

That's about it. Money, research, patience and time...I think these cars are infamous for breaking something just when you think you have it running right. Good luck, and take your time with it.
