I think my rear caliper seized

I dont have a lot of exp with brakes, only pads, and replacement, and bleeding.

I was driving on the highway, felt a soft vibration (like pulsing) at speeds of over 60mph. I didnt feel it in the brake pedal or steering wheel. And I just replaced front pads and rotors.

I go straight home, tire pressure=ok, but the right rear brake rotor is hotter than hell. I can feel it radiating. The emergency brake was off the whole time.

I lift the car up, take the wheel off. Hub turns, rotor wont (caliper is still grabbing, yes the ebrake is still off)

I had to pry the caliper off the rotor.

As soon as it gets off, the outer pad falls out, has some cracks in it. The rotor has a blue burn streak, and an imprint of material where the pad was on the rotor.

The caliper slides look fine, they seem to slide fine (i can slide it with my hands)

I havent doen much to the piston but that seems to be my problem.

What Can I do to further troubleshoot?

And could this be the cause of mild vibration at high speed?
(the vibration wasnt noticeable at lower speeds)

Thanks, I found that. I guess ill give it a try.

If I have to buy callipers, Which direction should I go?

I know OEM is better. IS there a consensus as to which of these two are better?
Just curious. I will probably go oem If I cannot rebuild.

Yes you can rebuild the whole caliper for cheap..

I had the same problem on one of my front's..The boot around the piston was shot..I only replaced the boot, never had a problem since, it's been probably 4 years..

Just got a couple dollar boot from local advance auto parts..Do not know brand..But worked great..

cool. Ill keep hope up. Heres my piston. Thats definately fried...
Ill update more as I get further into the caliper

Ok, after seeing the retaining clip down in that caliper... I wanna kill some mitsu engineers. Besides that point...
Can I just buy a Piston and be done with it? (boot also...) theres some stuff inside the piston, will I get that stuff in there too?

Can I get away with sanding that corrosion down>

I kinda sanded the corrosion down..With emory cloth..It's like super fine grit sand paper...After I did that it looked almost good as new..

Put on new boot, buttoned it all back up...While I was at it, I went to dot4 brake fluid..

Did you get any further? I got the C clip out... And that was a major pita. Im regretting doing it already . Its gonna take even more finnesse to get it back in there...

Im at this step:
With the c-clip removed, you can lift out the spring case, spring, stopper plate, and spindle.

My spindle isnt just falling out... I wrapped in in paper towel and used pliers. no budging...

Ok i put more mustard... It came out. aaahhhh now onto the cleaning
