I think my power steering rack is going??

I noticed little dime size drops on the ground,jacked it up and its leaking only on the driversdie not the passenger. It is the rack right?How much will it cost to fix?

rack it self is pretty cheap, $200. To get to it you have to drop the transfer case lower the tranny, drop the exhaust. If mitsu does it is like $ 1k. Its a seal in the case that leaks, a fairly common problem in 2gs..

Not that this is a solution but I had the same problem. I went and bought some Lucas power steering sealant and emptied out all of my power steering fluid. I filled the entire system with it and it is more like a syrup than liquid. It sealed everything up and I've had no problems with any leaks for over 2 years now.

i paid to have mine done a couple years ago thats with the rack included. try power steering stop leak sounds dumb but it will hold you over for a while
