I Think I'm Ready For A Bigger Turbo and Link...Opinions?

:thumb: Post up pics when you are done. There is no doubt the 4g63 will push that. I was just saying you are pushing the limits of the motor but all is well. It will just be an excuse for you to buy a 6bolt and start building.

I would recommend staying around 350-375whp. If this car is your DD I would be looking into other transporation as well. Just my .2 cents. Hope everything works out for you.:thumb:
A stock 7bolt can handle more than 400whp it is all in the tuning.

Yes, but mind you that was on about 28psi on 110 octane leaded race gas and almost no knock. The engine was stock and had a stock intake but it did have a full t3 50 trim setup w/ tubular header. The setup was def. reaching its limits w/out intake work. Throw on a set of comp 200's and a SMIM and it could have hit those numbers on pump at a lower boost. But on the same boost and gas, I'd suspect another 40whp or so. I was not worried at all when it dynoed 403whp on race gas, but 450whp+ and I would have been.
 
Since the OP has specifically asked about the 5031 BB & the FP3052, can anybody compare these two turbos? Im actually in the same boat as him, time to upgrade the evoIII & those are two turbos that Im looking at. With either one will be going with an external off the O2 (so its easier to recirculate the exhaust) but is the 3052 worth the extra? What all will you gain, the 5031 is a 45 lb/min comp wheel (is this slightly under rated as people have seen up to 44 lb/min with the evoIII & its rated at 38lb/min) while the 3052 is a 52 lb/min so it obviously has more potential but at say at 20-22psi would there even be a difference in these two turbos as thats where I will mainly be using it? I would imagine you won't start to see much of a difference until you throw in some race gas and crank up the boost? As far as spool goes I believe from listening to users of both they are fairly similar, with the 3052 maybe being a couple hundred rpms slower.
