I noticed i have no fuel pressure regulator (why not)??

I have a 6-bolt block swap with a 7-bolt head. i had some codes on my cheak engine light, egr witch is blocked off along with all emissions, boost solonoid because its unpugged for the mbc and my fuel pressure solonoid?? noticed there no solonoid there, why would they leave it off and could cause a problem it being off the car?

Can we get a picture of your engine bay and the area where the fpr should be?

There isn't any good reason to not have a FPR and the car should barely run (or not at all) without it.

Yea, there is absolutely no way your car would run properly (if at all) without a FPR. If you just got the engine, the previous owner might have had an AFPR on there that he/she didn't want to sell with the engine.

Your car will run just fine without the fpr solenoid. As long as you have a fpr that has a vacuum line running to it.

yea im gonna get a picture. i meant to say FUEL PRESSURE SOLENOIED! sorry it does have a fuel pressure regulator but no pressure solonoid there just the wire and plug where it should be but theres none there..So the car will run fine withought a Solonoid but why would they take it out??

Maybe the solenoid went bad so they just removed it instead of replacing it. I removed mine and have not noticed any side effects. The solenoid only operates during hot starts, not while the car is running.

You mean the fuel pressure solenoid is missing not the regulator itself right? I always get rid of those solenoids, there's no real reason to have it in my opinion. If it sticks you could end up without enough fuel pressure when boosting.

Actually, when I got my 2g, there was no fuel pressure regulator at all -- fuel return line right off the fuel rail (using one of those adapters to have a line go to an aftermarket fpr) and it ran just fine, although I have no idea how that's possible.
