lets start with what happened, my head gasket blew a while back and i got it fixed by a local shop. well later that week i was taking my grooms men out to go get the rest of there stuff when my TIMING belt blew at about 5000 rpms and 40 mph. the following week june 6 my car went into the shop again and they said they would fix it since it was there mistake. so far all i know that went into the car was 8 new valves that were bent they were mopar valves. they also said they sent the head to the machine shop?? and said they recalabrated the engine. before i get my car back i want to find out what was done to it exactly. the question i have is should i still put the turbo kit on next month.

Personally, If your head is already being sent to the machine shop, see if you can't come up with some extra dough, and send the block off to get rebuilt with a performance bottomend, Then you won't have to worry too much about blowing something else when you do put the turbo kit on.

Or just run 5-7 PSI and it should hold up well. Just make sure your rings are in good shape by doing a compression test and make sure they actually put your motor back together properly :|

You don't want more junk to fall apart. Shops tend to cut corners... that is why I do the work myself.

If you really want to find out what was done to it exactly, You need to call the shop and set up a time to go look at your head BEFORE they bolt it back up to the block. Better safe than sorry... :dsm:

yeah id go in and look at it, pistons striking valves isn't good, also tell them to do a compression test to make sure everything is good. cuz if those valve seats they most likely machined isn't perfect they will leak a little, plus the pistons could have damage too, so make sure everything is kosher.

how did they screw up the timing belt? i'm not a pro at this car stuff or anything. but i have done a few timing belts and they would be hard to screw up to the point that they break.
