It started when I was on the express way, I started feeling a huge loss in power on 4th and 5th, by the way my car is automatic, and when i got home the car was making a real loud knocking sound at idle and throughout the rpm range. I think I got the 2g curse... please help me What can I do, I have herd so far about doing a 6bolt swap but if I rebuild it will the problem be fixed or will it return to haunt my spyder once more also if I get a stroker kit for it will it be fixed? please help.

Get under the car with a screwdriver, pry against the harmonic balancer. If it comes out or goes in at all, there's your answer.

lossing power in 4th and 5th...........and you have an auto tranny WTF

do what supravw said and knocking is never good (unless you just cleaned your lifters):)

Loss of power, and Loud knocking....ROD bearing!

If this is the case, You can do a stroker.....People have said the have solved the crankwalk issue that has plagued these motors (Faulty bearing clearences) But Im still skeptical....

If you want a promising and most reliable result, Go with the 6 bolt swap. Not much modification has to be done. Just have to wire up the new C.A.S. and Modify the main motor mount bracket. But if your going this route I would reccomend getting DSMLink to remedy the MISFIRE C.E.L. problem. These motors STOCK can be easily found for $300-$600 In good condition.
