I am trying to figure out what the best way for me to get a new exhaust is. I have been looking at the tsudo catback's on ebay and seem to be pretty good quality from what i have read. My only problem with them is that i really don't like the 4 1/2" tip!! Are there any catbacks at all for not too much money that come with a nice muffler and a smaller diameter tip? Like a 3 1/2" maybe? I am also looking for a 2.5" downpipe on ebay and every single one seems to be a 3". Anyone know of a pretty inexpensive stainless steel downpipe in 2.5" size? Also are all those downpipe's meant to be cat delete systems? I do want to buy a new cat to put on. Would it need to be welded on? Or would they be able to be bolted up as well? Would both a 2.5" or 3" downpipe bolt up to the stock o2 housing? Leaving the stock o2 housing unported would i still notice performance gains with a 2.5 or 3" exhaust setup?
If i were to just buy a 2.5" downpipe and then bring a cat and muffler/tip to an exhaust shop, is it fairly easy to fabricate a catback for these cars?

If anyone could help me out with this it would be very helpful. I am just really stumped on the best bet i should go with.

Ps i also don't have a welder so i am unable to do it myself as well as the lack of time and experience.

I LOVE my GReddy EVO2! but yeah it has a Fart Cannon look. With a turbo car it sounds good. As far as 2.5 to 3, since back pressure is not a real issue, larger was better. As long as you get a DP made for our cars and don't have a EVOIII O2 housing it should match right up. I have seen some DP that are not cat-delete, but there are definately more of the cat delete. Is it because of emissions you are wanting to put a cat on? If not, then don't it is a air flow restriction. Did you look on extremepsi and SBR for the exhaust and DP? Hope I helped some.

Thanks. Ok dumb question. How do i know for sure if it is a cat delete? It doesn't say anything for most of the ones on ebay, but i have read that most of them are cat delete. I have looked at the ones on those sites, but i dont really want to spend 500 on just a cat back. And a pipe really is just a pipe as long as it's stainless steel and welded nice and of course mandrel bent.
OK i will just post pic's of a couple i am looking at and if anyone can tell me if they will work and are cat delete or not i would be very thankful!

Thats a downpipe i was looking at. Or if i got 3" all the way one like this:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TSUDO-DOWN-PIPE-ECLIPSE-95-96-97-98-99-GST-TURBO-MITS_W0QQitemZ320058631183QQihZ011QQcategoryZ33631QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Are those cat delete or could i get a cat welded up to those and still fit with a catback exhaust setup? I was also looking at the tsudo catback systems. Figured i would just chop off the muffler and tip and get a borla welded on.

Should a set up like that work for me? A worry for me getting a 3" is will it give my stock t25 boost creep? I have nothing ported? Also will it be very loud? I plan to probably get a 14 or 18" (if i can fit it) borla muffler. That system also has a resonator i can see so would think it would not be too loud. Should a system like that bolt up?

I have an apexi downpipe forsale if your interested (cheap). It will bolt right up to your o2 housing! It has an exit dia. of 3". Although, I do like my thermal catback. Yes you can cut up the cat delete and weld in a cat if you like. Personnally their are better downpipes than the ones you listed!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MakeTrack=true says its a straight through design which makes me believe that its a cat delete. i have an apexi n1 exhaust 3" all the way back. It creeps a little but i love it and it doesnt have the fartcan noise. nice deep exhaust sound. I love it... Def a power increase.

Do you have the 3" downpipe with that as well? Is it cat delete? Does that exhaust mount in the stock exhaust's place? Or is there not space enough there?

Does anyone know which downpipe i can get that is not cat delete? I would like a 2.5" to 3" downpipe and then a high flow 3" cat and then a 3" catback exhaust. does anyone know if any of those ebay tsudo downpipe are not cat delete? I would like to spend around 300-400 max on a downpipe and catback system. And i need it to be stainless steel. I will probably hack off the muffler and tip and get a borla one welded up. Anyone know what i can get that will work? It seems like everything is cat delete, and i live in ny and there are emmissions testing here. Atleast visual ones. I called a ton of local shops but i don't think i can trust any of those places to make me a nice custom exhaust and i don't have the time to make myself one.
If someone can please point me in the direction as to where i can find a downpipe that would bolt up to a nice cat and then bolt up to a catback. Thanks .

Non-Cat delete look trunkated. Very short-because they are making room for the cat. Instead of being like 18" after the flex section they are like 6".

Ok thanks, do you know where i can find one by chance? I have been looking alot and everything seems to be cat delete. I have a visual emissions inspection and possibly also testing so i do need to run a cat in my system.

I don't have a cat and their is emissions in NJ as well. I have a few friends that don't use cats either. A lot of people keep their stock turboback and bolt it up when it's time for testing. Their are a lot of places that will "help" you out with your emissions testing. But if they only do visual inspection then you could use a fake cat. You could always buy whatever downpipe you want, buy a catalytic converter and have the rest of the line made since your going to be using your own muffler anyways.
