I need help! Ahhhhh

So Im trying to find a diagram for the rear drive train on my car of a break down of all the parts but I cant find one. I've tried wincap's and that is just crap. So please if you guy's know of any break down pictures of the rear drivetrain . Thanks guys ahead of time I'm trying to make sure I have all the right peice so when i put the rear diff in everything is good. IM confused on what part is in this picture becuase my other rear diff doesnt have it flopping around it seems like the thing that holds the axle seal in place. Not sure tho

My rear diff I bought off of 1badtsi doesnt have that piece of it has the seals and is a lsd the old one is missing the seal but what the hell is that thing a old school seal or what? Heres a picture of the other side it has the same thing but its not moving around the new rear diff doesnt have that but idk i need help bad Im confused.

its just to cover the seal. the dealer should be able to find out what part granted that it is sold sepratly

Oh ok IM trying to figure out what it is Its placed backwards compared to the other one so the previous owner wasnt kidding when he said he had it replaced 4 times and it kept getting ruined. Im guessing it got ruined because that cover was backwards causing it to tear apart the seal and letting crap get on to the seal hmmm. THank you bro but I still need a diagram haha. Hypathatical High Five!

wow... i just took a second look at that pic i didnt catch that it was backwards HAHA whoever did that must be one hall of a tard ... i tried to search for a diagram but i didnt find anything... maybe the dealer can print one out im sure that will be a dealer or junkyard only part

whenever i need any diagram's like that i always go to the library and use their catalog computers, they have Alldata on them! i think the $ 0.10 price per page is pretty cheap considering the nearest mitsu dealer is 60 miles from me!

Ya it helped a bit. But Im pretty sure black gst helped me with the part I was talking about. Freakin sweet now I dont have to worry yippeee!

YES! I found the part a mitsu dealer faxed the whole diagram for me. I'm gonna post it on here and maybe a mod should sticky it in the proper place or something It shows the whole assembly of the lsd rear diff and every part. Honestly I think it would be a good think to sticky so if people instead of buying a new rear diff just rebuilt it cost $200
