Is there someone who is willing to help me out, I have a 2G with 1G throttle body, if you have the evap solenoid and EGR solenoid hooked up can I come by and compare with yours? I tried to read the diagram but I have no idea where those vertical tubes really go behind the intake manifold, it's not lay out flat like the diagram does.

I have a very easy solution for you, one that I personally did to aid in running all these lines...get rid of them!

That's what I did, now I need to smog and want to hook it up right but I doubt the tech will want to figure it out either.

You don't really need to worry about the vertical lines behind the manifold unless there's a tee on the end of one of them (which there is on the bottom line).

Since you're doing a 1G tb swap, you need to follow these instructions from RRE's site (http://www.roadraceengineering.com/2gtbswap.htm):

If you are still running with your EGR, the following will be necessary for proper EGR
It's simple, cap off the E line as well as the angled line (marked A1 or something). Then with a T, split the P line to go to where P and E used to go.

In effect drive the E line, (EGR) with the source from P.

For the evap solenoid: The nipple on the left goes to the charcoal canister (which is under your battery). The nipple on the right goes to a tee - the side of the tee goes to bottom of the purge control valve (which is near/on the charcoal canister) and the bottom of the tee goes to another tee. One side of that tee will go to the P port on the tb. The other side will go to the right nipple on the EGR solenoid.

If you also need to know where the other 2 nipples on the EGR solenoid go, let me know. But I think they're pretty easy to figure out by the Taboo diagram (since they both go to the EGR valve).

I think that is right...as it took me a little while to figure out too. I hope that makes sense to you. If not, let me know and I'll draw up a little diagram.

snowborder714 thanks for your help.

I read the RRE diagram and said put use the P line only, and tee the original P and E. Didn't say what the E on the 1GTB is used for, it has no vacuum on that line, but I put my boost gauge on there for now, it's not right though.

Anyway, the problem I have is I removed the charcoal canister. The 3 lines that go to the canister are now just hanging around the fuel filter, so I am trying to figure out if I would a vac leak or not and I can't seem to figure it out.

I only want the EGR to work, and not the EVAP. Following RRE I have a tee and 2 hose using the P port of 1GTB, but I am unclear the function of this TEE to the 2 hoses is for the EGR only or both. One goes to the EGR solenoid and the other one goes to a tube that drops down behind the manifold.

Put your boost gauge on the vacuum line that goes to the fuel pressure solenoid between the intake manifold and the solenoid. Use a tee to connect the lines.

Since you removed the charcoal canister and are only using the egr, you block off the A1, A, and E ports. Connect the two lines from the egr solenoid to the egr and connect the third line to the P port.

Remove all other vacuum hoses for emission, including the 3 lines that went to the charcoal canister. Leave all solenoids plugged in so you don't get a CEL. Locate the hardline at the bottom of the firewall that used to be connected to the charcoal canister. Run a hose from the hardline and point it down behind the frame so it vents the fumes out the bottom of the car.
